{"id":511,"date":"2016-07-07T09:51:36","date_gmt":"2016-07-07T07:51:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/defensor.umh.es\/?page_id=511"},"modified":"2023-03-08T11:23:30","modified_gmt":"2023-03-08T10:23:30","slug":"como-se-elige","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/defensor.umh.es\/en\/el-defensor-universitario\/como-se-elige\/","title":{"rendered":"How are they chosen?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>How are they chosen?<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The University Staff Committee selects the Ombudsman from among those current professors of the University who hold a doctorate degree and have no fewer than 15 years&#8217; experience working in university teaching bodies, at least 8 of which must have involved working for the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University within the established terms and time periods. University Ombudsman candidates are to be presented before the staff committee&#8217;s governing board for the purposes of their subsequent election.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Once selected by the board, the University Ombudsman is formally appointed by the University President.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The duration of the University Ombudsman&#8217;s term of office shall coincide with that of the university&#8217;s usual governing period within which they have been elected.
